They say laughter is the best medicine.
That’s why we love the concept behind Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity – an annual live star-studded comedy variety show that raises money for the Alzheimer’s Association.
We were proud to be part of the action this weekend for the 5th annual Hilarity for Charity at the Hollywood Palladium theatre.
The event, which aims to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s for the Millennial generation, raised over $1.6 million dollars for the cause and drew a celeb-heavy crowd, all in hilarious Halloween costumes, of course. (Our personal favorite was Rogen as Pika-Jew).
Past years’ shows featured the best comedians out there from Kevin Hart to Sarah Silverman and Aziz Anzari. This year was no exception. Seth Rogen opened the show with a performance of Thriller (cue the belly laughs) and the night included comedy from Marc Maron, live auctioneering by James Corden and musical performances by Courtney Love and Joseph Gordon-Levet.
Rap legend Snoop Dogg closed out the night with a few of his iconic hits.
Luckily, our Pop Up Internet kept the event running smoothly – because the one thing that’s never funny is an Internet outage.
