There’s no doubt L.A.’s eastside restaurant scene is red-hot right now and it’s not showing any signs of slowing down.
But in the sea of bistros and bodegas and bars, we can’t help but be extra excited about two newcomers to the scene.
We’re talking about Officine Brera, a glossy Italian restaurant that just popped up in the Arts District downtown, and Winsome, a community-inspired café that took over the Elysian in Echo Park, both customers of Bel Air Internet. And though both restaurants opened only recently, they’re causing such a storm in the food world, we just had to make them our February #OneCoolCustomer.
With a bright and airy indoor-outdoor flow, Winsome has already become a dining hub in Echo Park serving up modern American cuisine all day (dinner service will begin there soon), as well as a little something to hit that sweet spot (Brioche tarts and brown butter chocolate chip cookies, anyone?) BAI’s Internet keeps the back of the house and credit card machines humming, while the BAI-powered Wifi hotspots in the restaurant allow diners to share those Insta-meal shots seamlessly.
Downtown, Officine Brera features northern Italian fare cooked up in its gleaming glass-enclosed kitchen, designed so patrons can watch the chefs in action. With a menu from Angelo Auriana that focuses on rich risottos and slow braised meats, it’s no wonder this hot spot in blowing up the Arts District. The restaurant is just a hop, skip and a jump from several other BAI-powered properties like the Toy Factory Lofts, Barker Block, Biscuit and Factory Place (which the restaurant is attached to).
For rezzies at either place, visit the restaurant links below. We’ll see you there…
Using our Internet for something creative? We’d love to hear about it! Drop us a line and you could be our next One Cool Customer.
